Chief Nursing Officers

The aim of the meeting of Chief Nursing Officers is the exchange of ideas and experiences among delegates of EU Member States in order to promote ongoing study and debate on health matters of common interest and the role of nurses throughout the EU. Through the use of a common language, the aim is to foster the exchange of experiences and the discussion of best practices.

Guidelines are expected to be produced which contribute towards the improved implementation of health policies and, in particular, nursing health care focussing on patient needs.

This meeting is organised by the Portuguese Directorate-General of Health and by the Portuguese Nurses Association and will be held held on 15th and 16th November at the Parque das Nações (Sala Tejo) in Lisbon.
